Stokke AS announces the recall for repair of Stokke® iZi GoTM X1 by Besafe® car seat with serial number from ZG0247548 to ZG270529. 

DEFECT: Owing to an identified safety issue related to the use of the Stokke iZi Go X1 by BeSafe car seat in combination with the ISOfix base, we hereby conduct a recall for repair of the car seat. The ISOfix base itself is not affected.

The Stokke iZi Go X1 by Besafe is safe to use when installed with the vehicle belt, but we still urge to have the car seat repaired for potential later owners combining it with the ISOfix base.  

HAZARD: The identified safety issue might cause severe harm to a child if the car seat detaches from the base when potential impact during an accident. 

REMEDY: Consumers should immediately stop using the car seat in combination with the ISOfix base and go to https://reclamations.stokke.com/besafeizigo to check whether their product is affected. If the product is verified as affected, consumers should continue their registration to receive instructions on how to get their product repair. The serial number can be found on the label placed under the car seat, see image at the top of the announcement.
