How should I dress my baby for babywearing?
Here are a few tips to help you make sure your baby will be comfortably and ergonomically sitting in their carrier: - If your baby is wearing footed pajamas, make sure they are large enough to allow extra room for the toes. The pajamas tend to rise up when the baby is sitting, and it might squish your baby’s feet - Avoid using thick coveralls since it might prevent your baby from sitting correctly in the carrier - If possible, no hood on the baby’s jacket/sweater to ensure better back support - The carrier counts as one layer of clothing, so make sure that your baby is not too warm in the carrier Read More

How should I carry my baby during the Summer?
- Ensure that you do not dress your baby too warmly. The baby wrap or baby carrier already counts as one layer of clothing. - Dress your baby to protect them from the sun. Choose natural fabrics such as cotton, wool or silk clothing and lightweight leggings rather than trousers. - You can apply a light layer of mineral sun cream to any areas of the body exposed to the sun or buy a special baby sun cream with UV protection. Top with a sun hat and you're good to go! - Babywearing during the summer is best done in the shade or indoors, especially during the hottest periods, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. - Offer your baby water regularly. The smallest babies should be offered breastmilk or formula milk. - It is normal to sweat at the point of contact with your baby, remember that adults are also sweating "for" the baby to cool their body temperature as well as their own. - A carrier with Mesh material can also be a good option as the mesh fabric is more breathable. What safety tests has the BedBox™ passed?
There are no current safety tests available for comfort devices like the BedBox™ to be tested upon. The BedBox™ is individually tested by many major international airlines, please see the list here https://www.stokke.com/FRA/fr-fr/ct/airline-list.html. However, we have assessed the BedBox™ using the IATA decision tool for non-certified comfort devices like the BedBox™. IATA is The International Air Transport Association (IATA), and it is the trade association for the world's airlines, representing some 290 airlines or 82% of total air traffic. Its mission is to represent, lead, and serve the airline industry. IATA officially updated their Cabin Operations Safety Best Practices Guide, 4th edition, to include guidelines and a decision tool regarding Non-certified Comfort Devices, the category the BedBox™ falls into. This decision tool is also included in the 8th edition, updated in 2023, and shows how the BedBox™ is a safe comfort device.
